Google plans to invest $10 billion in AI firm Anthropic, with potential for an additional $30 billion, valuing Anthropic at $35 billion. Google will also provide substantial computing power and TPU chips over five years. This follows Amazon’s recent $5 billion investment. Despite the partnership, competition concerns exist as Anthropic’s Claude Code gains popularity. Anthropic is also considering an IPO this October.
