South Korean AI chip startup Rebellions raised $400 million in a pre-IPO round, boosting its valuation to $2.34 billion. The funding will support mass production of its Rebel100 NPU and expansion into the US and global AI inference chip market, challenging NVIDIA’s dominance.

ByteDance has initiated the spin-off and independent financing of its AI pharmaceutical business. The new company, still controlled by ByteDance, will integrate the core AI pharma team, algorithm platform, and pipeline assets, with computing support from Volcano Engine. Super Micro Computer shares fell 9% after hours after announcing a $7 billion equity financing plan, including a $5 billion underwritten stock offering and a $2 billion market offering with JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and Citigroup.
