The Wikimedia Foundation announced new commercial partnerships for its Wikimedia Enterprise product with Amazon Meta Microsoft Mistral AI and Perplexity among others. These deals provide a revenue stream as AI companies use Wikipedia content while offering them high-volume data access. The announcement coincides with Wikipedias 25th anniversary celebrations.
