Microsoft is transforming Copilot Notebooks into a smart workspace by adding task delegation, in-place Office editing, and interactive reports. Rolled out via the Frontier Preview Program, these updates enable automated workflows like daily briefings and direct document modification without switching apps. Enhanced audio summaries now cover Teams and Outlook, while new debate modes and multi-model support (OpenAI, Anthropic) deepen integration with Microsoft 365, shifting focus from information retrieval to execution and content editing.

The popular AI code editor Cursor has launched Origin, a new code hosting service now available for early testing to users on its paid plans. The platform integrates core development tools such as repository creation, pull requests, and code browsing, and supports two-way synchronization with GitHub as well as bidirectional synchronization of comments and code reviews. It has also connected with Vercel, Depot, and Buildkite during testing, with further AI agent features planned to enhance developers’ coding and collaboration workflows. This move is intended to help Cursor compete in the mainstream development ecosystem and become an alternative to GitHub.
