Jiangsu Phoenix Literature and Art Publishing House recalled and destroyed physical copies of the novel The Road to the End after discovering an AI-generated editorial comment in the text. The sentence, which asked if the author wanted to adjust the style for a mystery atmosphere, was absent from the original online version. The publisher attributed the error to oversight during the multi-stage editing and proofreading process, clarifying it was not the author's fault. The company has decided to re-edit the content and republish the book after destroying the affected batches.
