Google Cloud launched Gemini Agent, a general-purpose enterprise AI offering autonomous task execution, multi-model routing, and industry-specific versions. It reduces costs by two-thirds while boosting speed by 40 percent. Currently in preview for select enterprises, it faces competition from Tencent and Alibaba. Google has not announced pricing or commercial availability yet, with further validation of security and integration needed.
