The US government completed a voluntary assessment framework for advanced AI models but has not disclosed its content, which agencies reviewed it, or a timeline for adoption. The framework, from a June executive order, aims to guide AI developers on regulatory scope. Despite being unclassified, the White House declined to release details, stating that not all unclassified information will be disseminated. AI labs including Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google have provided feedback, but the industry remains uncertain about the rules.
