Runway launched its Media Router on July 23 2026, an intelligent model routing system for generative media. It provides developers a unified API to automatically select optimal image video and audio models based on quality latency and cost preferences. Adobe Cloudflare ElevenLabs Expedia Shutterstock and Quora have already integrated. The move marks Runway's shift from a front-end video generator to a full-stack orchestration hub amid rising model competition and computing costs.
