Google is developing a new server chip codenamed Frozen v2 that embeds parts of the Gemini AI model directly into silicon to reduce computation and data transfer. It delivers 6-10x more token processing per unit power than Google's latest TPU. Scheduled for 2028, it will be a specialized branch, not a TPU replacement. Shares rose nearly 4% on the news.
