The US government is easing restrictions on AI company Anthropic, allowing it to restore access to its Fable 5 model following a two-week ban imposed by export control regulations on June 12. Anthropic has already obtained authorization to reissue the Mythos 5 model to trusted US organizations. Fable 5, a broader public model, is expected to return as discussions continue, reflecting a policy balance between AI technology control and national security.
