ByteDance is in advanced talks to purchase 50,000 AI chips from domestic firm Tianshi Zhixin for inference tasks powering its Doubao chatbot. If finalized, Tianshi Zhixin would become ByteDance's third major domestic GPU supplier after Huawei and Cambricon, marking a milestone in commercial deployment of domestic high-performance chips.
