WeChat Open Platform released guidelines for developers to access its AI ecosystem on June 8, 2026, enabling mini programs to be recommended and invoked by WeChat AI. Two non-conflicting modes are offered: Auto Mode (platform reads code for automatic AI integration) and Development Mode (custom development by developers). The feature is in internal testing.
