At the 2026 Build Developer Conference, Microsoft showcased AI agent technology to convert x86 apps into native Windows on Arm applications. Partnering with NVIDIA, the Arm ecosystem now sees 90% of user time on native apps. However enterprise and legacy software still rely on the Prism emulation layer causing performance loss. Microsoft's AI agents act as debuggers and analyzers automating code rewriting and compatibility checks to shorten migration cycles and complete the Arm ecosystem.
