US Judge Edward Davila ordered OpenAI to hand over recruitment documents and LINE chat records involving former Apple employees within five days, as part of Apple's trade secret theft lawsuit. The court granted access to materials linking OpenAI's hardware ambitions to Apple's confidential data but denied requests for specific technical research on metal treatment and power management. OpenAI must also submit to depositions of three ex-Apple staff members. The dispute over alleged espionage regarding potential iPhone competitors continues.
