Anthropic is publishing "Agent Skills" as an open standard at agentskills.io. The goal is to make these skills interoperable across platforms - meaning the same capability should work just as well in Claude as it does in other AI systems. Anthropic compares this approach to the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and says it is already collaborating with ecosystem partners on the initiative.
