Act as a corporate ethics consultant to analyze the following specific business scenario: A pharmaceutical company discovers that its marketed drug has minor but irreversible neurological side effects with long-term use, yet discontinuing it poses higher risks with no alternative therapies. Please evaluate whether the company should proactively recall and disclose this risk, integrating the utilitarian principle of maximizing happiness with the deontological principle of respecting autonomy. In your response, avoid stacking verbs like 'analyze', 'generate', or 'explain'; instead, provide a narrative that balances shareholder interests, patient safety, and public trust, offering an action plan that aligns with legal compliance and moral responsibility, while clearly articulating the ethical reasoning behind this recommendation.

You need to combine utilitarian consequence analysis with deontological responsibility principles to evaluate the impact of different decision paths on stakeholders, and point out potential reputational risks and compliance hazards. Finally, please provide a structured ethical decision recommendation, clearly stating the recommended plan and its philosophical basis, ensuring the advice aligns with legal bottom lines while reflecting corporate social responsibility, maintaining an objective, professional tone without preaching.

Please analyze the following specific ethical dilemma encountered in corporate operations: A pharmaceutical company discovers that its long-listed common drug may cause severe side effects in a very small subset of patients with specific genotypes, but the recall cost is extremely high and could lead to company bankruptcy, affecting the livelihoods of thousands of employees. Please evaluate the moral rationality of three strategies—recall, partial disclosure, or maintaining the status quo—by combining the impact on overall well-being from a utilitarian perspective with the responsibility for patient informed consent and safety from a deontological perspective, and provide a recommended solution that balances the interests of all parties and aligns with the company's long-term ethical responsibilities, ensuring the analysis is logically rigorous and avoids absolute conclusions.

Act as a corporate ethics consultant to analyze the following specific business scenario: A pharmaceutical company discovers that its marketed drug has mild but predictable side effects with long-term use, yet the recall cost is extremely high and could lead to bankruptcy, resulting in the job loss of thousands of employees. Please evaluate whether the company should proactively disclose and recall the drug by combining utilitarian considerations of maximizing happiness for the greatest number with deontological principles of honesty and duty, and provide comprehensive advice balancing shareholder interests, patient safety, and social responsibility.

Ethischer Entscheidungsassistent

When a company faces a moral dilemma involving conflicting stakeholders, please analyze the potential impact of different action paths on employees, customers, and the community by combining utilitarian consequence assessment with deontological principle review, and recommend a solution that is ethically most defensible and aligns with the company's long-term values, while explaining how this solution balances short-term interests with long-term reputation risks.

Act as a corporate ethics consultant to provide decision-making advice for the following specific business scenario: A pharmaceutical company discovers that its best-selling drug has minor but under-disclosed side effects with long-term use. Recalling it would cause massive financial losses and affect shareholder interests, while not recalling it might harm some patients' health. Please analyze the ethical weights of both paths by combining the impact on overall well-being from a utilitarian perspective with the responsibility for honesty and patient safety from a deontological perspective, and propose a balanced execution plan that considers legal compliance, corporate reputation, and social responsibility, focusing on how to build trust through transparent communication rather than merely avoiding risk.
