Asistente de decisión ética

Please analyze the following specific ethical dilemma encountered in business operations: A pharmaceutical company discovers that its long-marketed common drug has mild but irreversible neurological side effects with long-term use, yet stopping the medication carries higher risks and no alternative therapy exists. The company faces a choice between proactively recalling and disclosing the information, which could lead to massive financial losses or even bankruptcy, or hiding the information, which violates patient safety principles. Please evaluate the moral weight of this situation from both utilitarian (maximizing overall well-being) and deontological (respecting patient informed consent and autonomy) perspectives, and provide a phased action recommendation that balances shareholder interests with patient safety, focusing on how to establish a trust mechanism in an environment of information asymmetry.

Please act as a senior corporate ethics consultant to conduct a moral deduction for the following specific business scenario: A pharmaceutical company developing a life-saving drug faces a dilemma between launching early to seize market share while accepting potential side effect risks. Please analyze the long-term impact of this decision on various stakeholders (patients, shareholders, employees, public) by combining the principle of greatest happiness from utilitarianism with the requirement for procedural justice from deontology. Output a comprehensive recommendation report including risk assessment, ethical justification, and alternative solutions, ensuring logical rigor and compliance with business ethics standards.

Act as a corporate ethics consultant to provide decision-making advice for the following specific business scenario: A pharmaceutical company discovers that its marketed drug causes severe side effects in a very small number of long-term users, but a recall would bankrupt the company and affect thousands of patients relying on it. Please evaluate the moral weight of three paths—recall, concealment, or limited disclosure—by combining utilitarian consequence analysis with deontological respect for human dignity, and provide a specific action framework that balances social responsibility and corporate survival, avoiding rigid instructional language and narrating the reasoning process naturally.

Asistente de decisión ética

Please analyze the following specific ethical dilemma encountered in business operations: A pharmaceutical company discovers that its established basic drug has potential serious side effects for a very small number of individuals with specific genetic profiles after long-term use, but the cost of recall would lead to company bankruptcy and affect medication accessibility for millions of ordinary patients. Please evaluate the ethical weights of both recall and non-recall options by combining the utilitarian principle of the greatest happiness for the greatest number with the deontological perspective of moral responsibility for harm to individuals, and provide a balanced recommendation that balances business sustainability with moral legitimacy, focusing on how to distribute risks and responsibilities among stakeholders.

Act as a senior corporate ethics consultant to evaluate the following specific business scenario: A pharmaceutical company discovers that its best-selling drug has minor but insufficiently disclosed side effects with long-term use. Continuing sales maintains stock price and employment but violates patient知情权 (right to know). Please analyze the moral conflict in this context by combining the utilitarian principle of maximizing happiness with the deontological requirement of respecting individual autonomy. Provide a comprehensive recommendation that balances legal compliance, corporate social responsibility, and long-term reputation management, ensuring the logic is rigorous and actionable.

Asistente de decisión ética

Act as a senior corporate ethics consultant to analyze the following specific business scenario: A pharmaceutical company discovers that its marketed drug causes mild but reversible liver damage in long-term users, affecting only 0.5% of patients, with no alternative treatments available. The company must decide whether to immediately recall and suspend sales, which would cause stock price drops and shareholder lawsuits, but might save some patients' health. Please evaluate the moral weight of both recall and non-recall options using both utilitarian (maximizing overall well-being) and deontological (respecting patient autonomy and non-maleficence) ethical frameworks, and provide a final action recommendation that balances legal compliance, corporate social responsibility, and patient interests, ensuring rigorous logic and adherence to business ethics standards.
